A little bit of summer

sunshine

Oh wow, June already and the first blog post of the month, I have been so busy the past few days I almost forgot to write something.  There has been so much to do recently it has all been so hectic.  I have been preparing for a few weeks off on holiday so I have been working my way through a very long list of “things to do”, trying to get everything done so that when the time comes I can completely switch off from work, leave it behind for a few weeks and have a good rest.  Well for me I am not that good at sitting very still I always like to be doing something but you know what I mean, my attention will be on all the things that I love doing, a little travelling maybe, some jewelry making, a little bit of relaxation/meditation, definitely will be spending some time in the garden, it is almost finished now just a few more things to do.   It is hard to imagine that this time last year it was still a muddy mess…

DSC00873 As I have focused very much on the garden it has been lovely watching all the changes take place from winter to summer,

(I am sure there is some old wives tale about the devil and parsley, I won’t read into that one too much though).   Half the time I have absolutely no idea what  I am doing but it just shows you what can happen if you just have a go…

A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.
