I am not sure how you are all feeling but I am extremely emotional over the events that occurred yesterday, I have been fighting the tears since the young man in Woolwich yesterday lost his life in such terrible circumstances. I do not know him or his family but I have been thinking about them constantly. For those who have lost a loved one bereavement is a tough call in any circumstances but for this young mans family they have lost him in the most barbaric and public way. I hope and pray that they are going to be okay.
I made a pact with myself today that I was not going to watch the news on the television and I was not going to listen to the radio. That whenever what happened was mentioned in conversation throughout the day that my thoughts are only for the young man and his family.
For those who do not know me, I am not religious, I do not go to church every Sunday but that doesn’t mean I do not believe in God and it does not mean that I do not pray, right now I pray for peace.
I have added a little poem that I found, I thought you might like to read it….
If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.
